- For Coloring
- Steep a dozen butterfly pea flowers in boiling water for 15 minutes.
- Discard flowers and use the strained blue liquid as blue food colouring.
- For Tea
- Steep a couple of butterfly pea flowers in boiling water for 5 - 10 minutes, until water turns blue.
- Strain the liquid and discard the flowers. Depending on personal preference, add honey or mix with syrup.
Store in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate for longer shelf life.
